Introduction

The ArcGIS Vector Tile Style Editor (VTSE) is an online style editor for styling vector tile layers. This tool enables you to create and maintain your own customized versions of Esri's vector basemaps. You can change colors, labels, symbols and other map attributes to provide your own map styles to match your brand or emphasize specific cartographic details. Then use your custom map like you would any other map available in ArcGIS.

What do I need to access VTSE?

Access to the Vector Tile Style Editor requires an ArcGIS account with privileges to create items. If you do not have an account, review the following information to choose the right account for your use case:

  • Customize which data is visible and how it will appear at different zoom levels.
  • Upload and customize basemaps, and stylize Esri's copies of Open Street Map basemap data.
  • Change the size and colors of sprites, and upload your own images.
